We are now launching this weekend's DevPick servers. This weekend we will be running FFA and Instagib FFA servers with experimental settings to help freshly spawned players.
In Free For All, this spawn protection provides a short lived layer of protection that reduces damaged received only at the moment of spawning. Players hit during spawning will flash upon receiving damage to let you know that you have dealt reduced damage to a freshly spawned player.
In Instagib FFA, this level of protection cannot act merely as damage reduction, so it provides a short period of invulnerability as the player spawns in.
